Tearfund Tanzania host the Renew Our World campaign in Tanzania, working with the Christian Council of Tanzania and others.
The campaign in Tanzania is focused on engaging churches to take action and pray for more resourcing for clean energy to tackle climate change and help communities adapt.
Emmanuel Kimbe of the Christian Council of Tanzania recently visited the World Bank in Washington DC, and delivered a petition calling for more investment in off-grid renewable energy. Over 20,000 people signed. Renew Our World Tanzania have also engage the ministries of finance and environment to lobby for lower taxes on renewable energy.
