The Renew Our World campaign launched in UK with a prayer walk organised by Tearfund.
Together as Christians we want to Renew Our World to help the world’s poorest people who are affected by climate change, by joining in prayer and action.
We see prayer as a powerful tool to launch and sustain this international effort. So, to mark the launch of this new campaign, we gathered in the evening for a prayer walk around the world embassies in London. We went from Australia to Brazil to Nigeria and back to Houses of Parliament - all in one evening!
Outside each embassy, we prayed about the impacts of the changing climate in each country and region the embassies represented, and then joined together using the following prayer written by TEAR Australia:
We used solar lights to light our way through the wind and rain!
