A children's parliament protects an Indian lake
Children saw a way to stop their lake getting polluted - once they got organised. Jhumeliya Mishal from EFICOR tells the story.
‘It'll take urgent action from governments, businesses and ordinary people – right now, then over the next five years, and beyond. This is the challenge of our generation. And who better to take a lead than the church?’ - Ruth Valerio, Tearfund's Advocacy and Influencing Director
God's people have been raised up 'for such a time as this'. We can lead on the most important human rights issue of our time. Together we can make our collective voice heard in the corridors of power. Here are two things you can do to play your part in our generation's challenge: Pray: We have produced some resources to help you pray, worship and cry out to God to Renew Our World. Download this prayer resource to fuel your prayer and petition. Use the new Renew Our World song during your times of individual and corporate worship. The Renew Our World Song Act: Sign this petition and ask world leaders at COP24 in Poland to keep their promises made in the Paris agreement. You can also record your own version of the Renew Our World song and post it on social media using the #RenewOurWorld hashtag. We will collate these videos and present them to world leaders at COP24 and ask them to listen to the voices of Christians crying out for creation care. The time is short. How will you play your part in bringing about change?
